While not all of Harrison Fordâs kids have embraced a life in the spotlight the way he has, theyâve certainly made it a point to be supportive of each other out of the public eye.
The 83-year-old actor is a proud father-of-five, sharing sons Ben, 59, and Willard, 56, with first wife Mary Marquardt, son Malcolm, 38, and Georgia, 35, with second wife Melissa Mathison, and with his current wife Calista Flockhart, he shares son Liam, 25.
Georgia is the only one who directly followed her dad into acting, with Ben becoming a prominent chef, Willard owning a gym and working in fitness, Malcolm becoming a musician, and Liam keeping away from the limelight.
Ben & Malcolm together
Over the weekend of March 5-8, Ben Ford made an appearance as one of the highlighted guests at the Ojai Food + Wine Festival in California, known primarily as the owner of Fordâs Filling Station.
He joined the Sunday Grand Tasting event at The Farmhouse on March 8, joined by his partner, wellness instructor, pilates coach and actress Dru Mouser.
Dru documented her weekend with Ben on social media, revealing that he was then joined by none other than his younger half-brother Malcolm, making his first notable public appearance in several years.
As opposed to his last public photos, when he sported dark brunette locks, Malcolm now has dusty blonde hair, posing in a white tee and jeans next to his older brother, who wore a navy tee under his Ojai apron. âGood genes!â Dru wrote alongside a photo of the two.
She later included another shot of the pair at Benâs stall, with the chef tending to his food while Malcolm stood beside him, and she wrote with it: âBrothers being brothers.â
The Dough Rollers
Malcolm keeps out of the public eye now, but broke into the industry in the early 2010s, after a brief stint in acting, as the frontman for the band The Dough Rollers. The groupâs last social media post was in 2015, and their last musical release was the year prior. The band was formed in 2008 by Malcolm and Jack Byrne, himself the son of Ellen Barkin and Gabriel Byrne, although outside of Malcolm and Jack, its membership fluctuated.
âI didnât grow up with music in the house, like every kid had âBlackbirdâ playing when they got home from school or something,â Malcolm told Interview Magazine back in 2013. âMy mom would have Wagner on sometimes, but I got into punk music first. My first cassette was Green JellĂż. That was the band I was really into.â
When asked what heâd be doing if he werenât a musician, he quipped: âLife of crime or a police officer,â and offered that heâd tell his younger self to âget a [expletive] job and donât play music, honestly.â
âIâd tell myself to be a cop or start being good at crime. No offense to Jack. Weâd be partners if we were cops, obviously.â
