Harper Beckham has shared a rare insight into her close bond with her mother, Victoria Beckham, revealing she has helped her through her “worst days” in a heartfelt Mother’s Day message.
Like many children across the UK, the 14-year-old took to social media on Sunday to pay tribute to her mum, sharing a heartfelt message that Victoria later reposted. It offered a touching glimpse into how their close bond has helped Harper through some of her tougher moments.
Harper’s Mother’s Day message
“Happy Mother’s Day to the best mum ever,” wrote the teenager, whose parents are Victoria and former England football captain David Beckham.
“Thank you for always being there for me, supporting me, and putting up with me even on my worst days. I don’t say it enough, but I’m really grateful for everything you do for me every single day.”
She continued: “I love you so much and hope you have the best day because you deserve it x.”
Responding to her daughter, Victoria replied: “I love you Harper.”
Beckham family tributes
Harper was not the only member of the Beckham family to celebrate Victoria on social media. Her sons Romeo Beckham, 23, and Cruz Beckham, 21, also shared Mother’s Day tributes online.
However, a message from Victoria’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, 27, did not appear on social media. Instead, Brooklyn shared a belated birthday tribute to his mother-in-law, Claudia Heffner Peltz.
Sunday marked the first Mother’s Day since Brooklyn made headlines for speaking publicly about tensions within the Beckham family.
Before his estrangement, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola shared a close relationship with his sister, with the latter even calling Harper a “dream little sister”. Harper has not spoken on the ongoing rift and remains the only child living at home with Victoria and David.
Brooklyn’s advice for Harper
Following Brooklyn’s shocking statement, which declared: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” a previous piece of advice he shared with his younger sister resurfaced online.
Speaking with the Daily Mail ahead of his Formula E race in Miami, Brooklyn said of Harper: “I just tell her, find that one thing that you love and just put your head down, don’t listen to anyone.”
Following in her mother’s footsteps
As well as paying tribute to Victoria Beckham on Sunday, Harper is also reportedly preparing to follow in her mother’s footsteps in the beauty industry.
The teenager has reportedly trademarked the name HIKU by Harper, a brand expected to operate separately from Victoria’s own cosmetics line, Victoria Beckham Beauty.
The range is said to be inspired by South Korean cosmetics and aimed at Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers.
