Halle Berry shared an intimate glimpse into her idyllic vacation with fiancé Van Hunt, posting a series of candid photos from Fiji that included a topless sunbathing snap and a playful confession about their celebrations.
The Oscar winner, who turns 60 on August 14, appeared happier than ever as she documented the couple’s tropical escape, captioning the Instagram carousel: “We got drunk last night, and still drunk today.”
In one striking image, Halle reclined beside an infinity pool wearing only a pair of bikini bottoms and a wide-brimmed straw hat strategically placed across her chest as she soaked up the sunshine.
Another photo showed Van asleep in bed, while others offered glimpses of their luxurious oceanfront villa, complete with breathtaking sea views, a freestanding bath and lush tropical surroundings.
The actress tagged the location as the Fiji Islands, giving fans a peek inside what appears to be a blissfully relaxed couples’ getaway.
Fans were quick to react to Halle’s carefree update, with one writing: “What an absolute beautiful paradise!!!” while another commented: “Cheers to you and your fabulous life!”
Counting down to a milestone birthday
The romantic retreat comes just days before Halle celebrates her milestone 60th birthday, but the Hollywood icon has made it clear she has no intention of slowing down.
During a recent appearance on Making Space with Hoda Kotb, the actress opened up about why she rejects the idea that women should quietly step away from their careers as they age.
“People actually say, ‘But you’ve done so much. Like, isn’t it time to just quit all that and sit down somewhere and just be on a permanent vacation?'” Halle said.
She continued: “We’re expected to find something else to do, we’re expected to be on a permanent vacation as if life is somehow over, or we no longer have value, or what we have to say isn’t significant anymore.

The actress also explained why continuing to work remains so important to her.
“Why do I want to, after I’ve worked my whole life so hard and it’s made me feel all of myself, it’s validated who I was, it’s given me a sense of purpose. Why should I now sit down and give that all away – and then what?”
Happier than ever
Halle has plenty to celebrate beyond her upcoming birthday.
