Hailee Steinfeld Returns to the Red Carpet at D23 Expo Months After Giving Birth to 1st Baby

Hailee Steinfeld suited up at the 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event months after giving birth to her first baby.

Steinfeld, 29, sported a white, long-sleeve button-up shirt with Ami de Coeur detail, a grey peplum button-up blazer and denim, wide-leg balloon pants all by Ami Paris on Friday, August 14, where she introduced her new animated movie, Hexed.

“It feels amazing, also to the fact that this is a mother-daughter story is so special,” the actress told E! News on the red carpet. “It resonated with me in ways [and] it touched me so deeply, this story and this character of Billy. I’m just so excited for my baby girl to see this one day, and for the world to see this and embrace these characters and this story for everything this year. It is pure magic.”

Steinfeld and her husband, NFL star Josh Allen, announced in April that they recently welcomed their first baby.

“We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments,” a statement shared via Steinfeld’s “Beau Society” newsletter read. “Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”

Steinfeld revealed her daughter’s full name, Harper Haize Allen, in another newsletter edition released in June.

“I’m in awe of you. You’ve been here for only a short while now, and somehow it feels as though you’ve always been ours,” the Oscar nominee wrote in an open letter to her baby girl. “There are moments … I still look at you and wonder how you’re real. These last few months have been beautiful and exhausting. Sacred and so special. The longest days and the shortest season all at once.”

She continued, “People tell you becoming a mother changes everything, but no one tells you how, why, or when exactly. It isn’t always in the big moments. Sometimes it’s realizing that I no longer measure time in months or years, but in ounces, naps missed and naps miraculously taken, in diaper changes and the quiet triumph of a successful transfer from my arms to your crib.”

Steinfeld and Allen, 30, have been married since May 2025 after nearly two years of dating. After getting married and becoming a dad, the Buffalo Bills quarterback admittedly found his entire world shift and wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Success looks like getting my daughter down, back to sleep at night, It makes everything much less relevant,” Allen exclusively told Us last month. “The outside stuff, it just makes you feel like it doesn’t matter. Honestly, everything about it’s been the best part. I tell this to all my teammates, and anybody who asks, how fatherhood is. It’s the coolest, most rewarding thing. It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done.”

According to Allen, welcoming Harper made him “fall in love with [his] wife all over again.”

“Seeing her as a mother, it’s just, it’s awesome,” he gushed, further praising Steinfeld as “the absolute best” mom.
