Guy Fieri’s son Hunter is sharing an update on his big day!

On Tuesday, March 4, the 28-year-old son of the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host uploaded a joint Instagram post with fiancée Tara Bernstein, noting that their upcoming wedding is just months away.

“less then 6 months until I get to marry my best friend❤️,” the pair wrote in a caption.

Alongside the message, the couple — who got engaged on Thanksgiving 2023 at Guy’s Northern California home — shared a clip taken at a beach, showing Bernstein jump into Hunter’s arms. “Jumping into forever with my favorite person ❤️🌊,” they wrote over the video.

The message comes weeks after Guy filled PEOPLE in on the pair’s wedding plans ahead of their previously announced big day at his Northern California home. As he explained, both Hunter and Bernstein have been struggling to cut down their guest list.

“They’re both such big personalities, and they both have a lot of friends,” Guy, 57, said at the 2025 South Beach Wine & Food Festival on Feb. 21 . “I mean, that’s the toughest thing. [How] those two [will] whittle it down to 350. I have no clue.”

“I mean, it would be like picking 350 of these people saying who’s going to make it,” he added. “But no, it’s going to be great, and creative and active and a lot of things.”

Guy, who called his sons his “best friends,” added that his wife Lori “has been an incredible partner in life and the way we raised our kids.” The pair also share younger son Ryder, 19, who was also in attendance alongside Bernstein’s family when Hunter popped the question at the Fieri residence.

“I tell them that it’s their day and it’s their time,” Guy previously shared in November 2024. “I just hope that they make it their choices and not get steered by anybody else of how it needs to be. I just want them to be in the moment.”

“Sounds very Northern California hippie-ish of me, but that’s what my little sister Morgan would always say to me is just, ‘Be in the moment. Make sure that it’s you and it’s what you want. And don’t make it somebody else’s wedding. It’s your wedding,’ ” he added.

As for the “magical” wedding location, Guy previously told PEOPLE that his property boasts “an island in the big, big pond,” which is the exact spot where Hunter popped the question.

“There’s a bridge that goes over to the island that was in pretty good shape, but not good enough shape that we want to risk the bride going into the tank in her dress. So we got in and tore the entire bridge apart and rebuilt the bridge,” Guy said. “It’s magical. It is this real arching, flowing bridge. It’s beautiful.”

When it comes to his own role during the ceremony, Guy added that he’s down to “do whatever Hunter wants me to do.” Some “celebrity buddies” have even offered to officiate.

“There is something though about wanting to sit there with Lori and watch this happen and being able to just be in the presence of that,” Guy said.
