The Fieris are tackling wedding planning head on!
Guy Fieri spoke exclusively to PEOPLE at the 2025 South Beach Wine & Food Festival on Friday, Feb. 21, about his oldest son Hunter Fieri’s upcoming wedding to his fiancée Tara Bernstein.
Although the celebration is at Guy’s Northern California home later this year, he tells PEOPLE that the engaged couple is struggling to shorten the guest list.
“They’re both such big personalities, and they both have a lot of friends,” Guy, 57, says. “I mean, that’s the toughest thing. [How] those two [will] whittle it down to 350. I have no clue.”
“I mean, it would be like picking 350 of these people saying who’s going to make it,” he says. “But no, it’s going to be great, and creative and active and a lot of things.”

Hunter, 28, popped the question to Tara on Thanksgiving 2023, at Guy’s Northern California home — the same place they plan to wed.
To celebrate the engagement, Guy’s wife Lori, their younger son Ryder, 19, and Tara’s family were all there to watch the special moment.
“My sons are my best friends,” Fieri tells PEOPLE. “My wife has been an incredible partner in life and the way we raised our kids.”
“I tell them that it’s their day and it’s their time,” Guy previously told PEOPLE in November 2024. “I just hope that they make it their choices and not get steered by anybody else of how it needs to be. I just want them to be in the moment.”
“Sounds very Northern California hippie-ish of me, but that’s what my little sister Morgan would always say to me is just, ‘Be in the moment. Make sure that it’s you and it’s what you want. And don’t make it somebody else’s wedding. It’s your wedding,’ ” he told PEOPLE.
The restaurateur also explained that he’s ready to help Hunter and Tara whenever they’re ready. “I am just in that capacity of call me when you need me. Because that’s their dream, their thing, their deal,” he said.

Along with planning a wedding, Hunter works with Guy on their Hunt & Ryde wine company, Guy’s Santo tequila company and various TV shows, including Guy’s Ultimate Family Cruise and Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Guy tells PEOPLE that they “work together almost every day.”
“Hunter’s doing really good on TV. He continues to gain confidence,” he adds. “I don’t know that I’ll do Triple D forever. Maybe he’ll take it over. We’ll see. But it’s pretty great.”
