Grimes doubled down on not wanting her 4-year-old son with Elon Musk, X Æ A-Xii, in the limelight.

“I would really like people to stop posting images of my kid everywhere,” the Canadian singer, 36, said in an interview with Time published Monday.

“I think fame is something you should consent to. Obviously, things will just be what they are. But I would really, really appreciate that. I can only ask, so I’m just asking.”

Grimes — who also shares daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and son Techno Mechanicus, 2, with Musk — has battled the billionaire for custody of their three children since September 2023.

The “Genesis” singer, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, quietly sued her ex for the parental rights of their kids at the time. However, Musk, 53, had filed his own paternity suit just days prior, claiming he has had “actual care, control, and possession of each child since the birth of each child.”

According to Business Insider, the exes’ custody case in Texas, where the SpaceX founder primarily resides, has been resolved, but the terms are unknown. A separate custody case filed in California, where Grimes lives, is restricted and therefore its status is also unknown, per the outlet.

The “Oblivion” singer claimed in November 2024 that she had not seen one of her babies in five months, but she did not name which child.

She further alleged via X, “And this is only what can be said publicly, since most of my experience these last years should remain behind closed doors.”

Musk — who is now involved in a separate custody dispute over his alleged 13th child — has made it seem as though he is the primary caretaker of X since he is often spotted out with the toddler at events, including a New Years’ Eve party at Mar-a-Lago.

The public appearance that caused the most uproar, however, was when the Tesla CEO brought his young son to a meeting with President Trump in the White House’s Oval Office earlier this month.

X appeared fidgety as his father addressed Trump and the press, and he even appeared to whisper a few phrases in the president’s direction.

Grimes took to social media after to blast the outing, writing, “He should not be in public like this. … But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

More recently, the musician called out Musk for allegedly neglecting one of their children during a “medical crisis.”

“I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation,” she wrote via X last week.

“This requires immediate attention. If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can do that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon.”

Grimes and Musk began dating off and on in 2018 but officially called it quits by 2022.
