Brussels will have to wait to see Gracie Abrams live.

The “That’s So True” singer was scheduled to perform at Forest National in Brussels, Belgium on Feb. 28 as part of her ongoing The Secret of Us Tour, but she canceled the show one day beforehand due to a “gnarly” sickness.

“First thing I have to say is that I love you with my whole heart, and I have been so looking forward to being together in your beautiful city,” began Abrams, 25, in a handwritten note shared to her Instagram Stories.

She continued, “My body has been fighting off something gnarly for the past week and despite doing everything in my power to keep it contained, it has gotten to a point where all medical advice I’ve received says I cannot perform and need to rest.”

“At this point in time I can’t give you the show you deserve and that breaks my heart, especially knowing all the travel and the planning and the care that you put into attending our shows,” wrote the “Us” musician.

“You make it all so magical,” said Abrams, “and that is what I want to give back to you as soon as we can be together.”

The Grammy nominee told fans she’s “working” to figure out the situation and will provide “further information” soon.

“Our every intention is to make this right and I promise we’ll be in touch as soon as we have concrete details,” said Abrams. “I’m so grateful for your support and your understanding. I miss you and I love you very much.”

The tour’s current opening act, Dora Jar, announced a last-minute performance at the Brussels venue L’Archiduc for any fans “who still want to get together and hear us play some songs.”

Abrams praised her for the move. “I love your heart and your brain and I will miss you all so much tonight,” she wrote in a follow-up Instagram Stories post.

The Secret of Us Tour is set to continue March 3 with a show in at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham in Nottingham, England. The European leg continues through mid-March, followed by a string of shows in Asia and Oceania.

She then heads back to Europe in July, before coming to North America later that month through mid-August and wrapping with Aug. 26 and 27 shows at Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City.

In October 2024, Abrams released the deluxe version of her latest album, The Secret of Us, featuring the single “That’s So True,” which reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart — marking her highest entry.
