Gordon Ramsay has returned to our screens, but not with a new series of Hell’s Kitchen or another cooking show, but with a new Netflix documentary, Being Gordon Ramsay.
The six-part docu-series allows viewers exclusive access into the lives of the Ramsay family, including his wife Tana and daughters Tilly and Holly, and follows the culinary star as he launches 22 Bishopsgate, a £20m venture that opens five culinary experiences in one of London’s tallest buildings.
The corporation will no doubt have paid Gordon a major sum for the series, and the star is already worth millions, with his net worth being more than double that of Prince Harry.

How much is Gordon Ramsay worth?
With his years in the business, Gordon is worth a massive £162 million ($220 million). The star makes most of his income from his restaurants, culinary school and media work, with Gordon Ramsay Holdings Limited holding much of this cash; the business has previously been valued at $67 million, and Gordon has a 69% stake in the company.
In 2022, it was reported by This Is Money that the Gordon Ramsay Restaurant group had recorded revenues of £78.9 million for the financial year, with this coming just two years after the COVID-19 pandemic majorly hit the hospitality industry.
His media career has also earned Gordon a pretty penny, with the star reportedly earning $225,000 for each episode he appeared in, whether this was for Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef or Kitchen Nightmares.
However, the chef hasn’t just made his money through his work, with the 59-year-old having investments in properties and cars. The star owns at least 19 sports cars, including two Aston Martins and 11 Ferraris.
Meanwhile, he owns property believed to have a combined worth of £13 million, while having previously owned three properties in Cornwall, which he sold for a combined payout of £11 million.
Despite his large wealth, the star is determined that his six children make their money on their own. Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, he said: “It’s [inheritance] definitely not going to them, and that’s not in a mean way, it’s to not spoil them. The only thing I’ve agreed with [my wife] Tana is that they get a 25% deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat.”
How many restaurants does Gordon Ramsay own?
Gordon is believed to be the owner of at least 90 restaurants around the world, including 34 locations in the United Kingdom, 32 in the United States and others established in places like Dubai, France and Singapore.
While some of Gordon’s restaurants, like Amaryllis, The Fat Cow and Foxtrot Oscar, have since closed, the star has also racked up an impressive portfolio of Michelin-starred establishments. Out of his over 90 venues, at least 11 have been given a Michelin star, while a select few even have two.
Despite his success, the father-of-six has been frank about how money running these places costs him. Appearing on First We Feast, he spoke about the hidden costs, explaining: “Yeah it’s called rent and labour costs – two big key factors in running a successful business.
“Landlords – they win either way. So, the more successful you are, the more rent they ask for. The less successful you are, the more demanding they are after the rent.”
