Michael Strahan may have his hands full with a newborn, but he can still make time for parents weekend.
Earlier this year, the Good Morning America anchor, 54, secretly welcomed his fifth child, a baby girl, his first with longtime girlfriend Kayla Quick, 37, who he started dating in 2015.
The former Giants defensive end is already a dad to daughter Tanita, 34, and son Michael Jr., 31, who he shares with ex-wife Wanda Hutchins, and twin daughters Isabella and Sophia, 21, who he shares with ex-wife Jean Muggli.
Over the weekend, Michael jetted off to Los Angeles, where Isabella goes to college at the University of Southern California, which was hosting parents weekend on September 26.
Taking to Instagram, the doting dad shared a sweet selfie with his daughter, who posed with her red curls on full display, wearing a white tank top with a USC pin on it, while Michael sported a quarter-zip with a white cap.
“Parents weekend with @isabellastrahan,” wrote in his caption, adding: “Fight On,” the rallying cry of the USC Trojans, the school’s football team.
© InstagramFans and celebrity friends alike were quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with fellow football star Tom Brady writing a string of red heart emojis, as Sophia also added: FOMO!!”
Others followed suit with: “How cute are you two!” and: “Isabella & her dad! You both look awesome!” as well as: “So good to see her back to health, happy and smiling! So beautiful! Praying for continued healing and happiness!”
It has been two years since Isabella has been in remission, following a battle with medulloblastoma, the most common form of brain cancer in children.
© Getty ImagesThe model was only a few months into her first year at USC when she received her diagnosis, after which she underwent several surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy. Though she took a break from school and underwent treatment at Duke Children’s hospital, she has been back at USC since fall 2024.
© GC ImagesLate last year, both she and her dad Michael opened up to Town & Country about the family’s “crazy year,” and how now with the brunt of her cancer journey behind her, she is working on regaining her balance, more weight, her regular life back, and returning to her fitness routine. “I think in the long run we’ll figure out a way to benefit from it,” Michael said of the experience, though added: “The process was a lot scarier than we imagined.”
The doting dad continued: “There were times when we said, ‘We know it’s painful and tough, but it’s temporary,'” and maintained: “The last year is one we hope to forget, but at the same time it’s shown us a lot of important things about who she is and about who we are and about how we show up for each other as a family.”
