Ginger Zee’s April Fools’ Day plane emergency was no joke.

On Tuesday, April 1, Good Morning America‘s chief meteorologist shared on Instagram that the plane she was on had to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff. Zee, 44, shared four photos that appeared to be taken from the airplane’s window.

“Not an April fool’s joke… our plane took off from LGA but just turned around and had an emergency landing at JFK because of a hydraulics system failure,” she wrote.

Zee continued, “Fire trucks all around but thankfully just precaution. Many thanks to these heroes who are always ready. So grateful to be on the ground. Hope you all have a safe day too.”

The meteorologist’s snaps included pictures of firefighters wearing full gear and standing together near one of the wings, as well as shots of emergency vehicles at the ready.

A representative for New York’s LaGuardia Airport told PEOPLE, “Delta flight DL856 landed safely at 12:30 p.m. at JFK with no reported injuries or further incident.”

Zee’s plane scare comes almost exactly one year after another scary travel mishap when her rental car was broken into while she was in Oakland, Calif. At the time, she shared a photo on Instagram of shattered glass across the backseat after her window was smashed.

“Smash & grab was NOT what we had on our bingo card … that’s for sure. Grateful to be safe, the stuff they stole will be replaced… but it makes me sad for the folks that do this,” she wrote.

Zee added that in addition to her passport, some of the items taken were sentimental. “Whatever circumstance gets someone to that choice of crime, I hope you know you stole things that are very meaningful to me too — items my kids made me I travel with etc, passport, my glasses — all of which I’m sure is trashed and the tech is being sold.”
