Glen Powell is absolutely slaying in his next role — literally.

In the first trailer for his upcoming film, “How to Make a Killing,” Powell stars as Becket Redfellow, a down-on-his-luck New Yorker who’s heir to a $28 billion fortune.

There’s only one problem: seven “rich pricks” — aka his family — stand between Becket and the big bucks.

So Becket sets out to “prune a few branches of the family tree” by eliminating all seven heirs to claim the inheritance for himself.

The action-packed trailer sees Powell wielding a shotgun, dodging bullets, getting cozy with a character played by co-star Jessica Henwick (“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”), and even hitching one unlucky relative to an anchor in the middle of the ocean.

“The Substance” actress Margaret Qualley and “That ’70s Show” alum Topher Grace also star in the black comedy thriller.

Independent Spirit Award winner John Patton Ford, who previously directed Aubrey Plaza in the 2022 thriller, “Emily the Criminal,” wrote and directed “How to Make a Killing” — loosely inspired by the 1949 British film, “Kind Hearts and Coronets.”

“How to Make a Killing” comes from celebrated indie entertainment company A24, which is behind films including “Hereditary,” “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and “Uncut Gems,” plus TV projects like “Euphoria” and “Beef.”

It’s been a busy year for Powell, who just led director Edgar Wright’s “The Running Man” alongside Josh Brolin, William H. Macy and Michael Cera.

He also toplined the sports comedy series “Chad Powers,” which hit No. 1 on the Hulu and Disney+ most-watched lists when it premiered.

Most recently, Powell hosted the Nov. 15 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” delivering viral moments in a sketch inspired by Leslie Bibb’s iconic bob and a monologue in which he unearthed footage of his teen self singing Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Going Down.”
