Gigi Hadid Struck Taylor Swift’s Signature Eras Tour Pose on Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Runway

Gigi Hadid took a page out her pal Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour playbook at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!

On Oct. 15, Hadid, 29, returned to the Victoria’s Secret runway for the first time since 2018. The model kicked off the show when she strutted out onstage wearing a pink, silk one-piece with short-shorts and a plunging neckline accompanied by an oversized pair of pink wings.

As she walked down the runway, she mimicked Swift’s famous wave, and when she reached the end, Hadid stopped and held one arm straight up in the air with her hand up and her wrist turned slightly to the sky — a pose that just so happens to be Swift’s signature move from her Eras Tour.

The Grammy winner, 34, has struck the same pose at a number of stops on her record-breaking world tour. The pointed hand move is eclipsed only by her love for a good heart hands moment, and the occasional archer pose, which is an homage to her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce’s own signature move on the field.

Prior to the show, Hadid told Entertainment Tonight that she didn’t think her friend of more than a decade would make it to see her in person on Tuesday night, but she also shared that Swift helped her prepare for her return to the Victoria’s Secret runway.

Hadid teased that there was “something new on the runway” for her, at least, and that her pop star friend helped her make the moment happen.

“There’s an aspect to it that I was trained to do by Taylor on her tour,” she explained. “In one of her rehearsals she was like, ‘I’m gonna show you how we do this.’ Did that, and now I’m using it tonight.”

The fashion designer also shared that while Swift and her boyfriend were most likely spending some quality time together before Kelce returns to his football schedule and the “Fortnight” singer to the final leg of her tour, she had a feeling Swift was rooting for her from home.

Hadid added, “I think if they have one more night before he goes back they’ll probably be cozy on the couch. That’s just my guess. But she will also be supporting, I can feel it.”
