Gigi Hadid is giving fans some rare insight into her co-parenting situation with ex Zayn Malik.

In a new cover story for Vogue, the model candidly spoke about how she and the singer take turns caring for their 4-year-old daughter, Khai.

“Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance,” Hadid, 29, told the outlet. “That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.”

The Maybelline spokesmodel also shared that she and Malik, 32, try to navigate co-parenting with “love, and a feeling of camaraderie” — despite constantly feeling like they’re under a microscope being in the public eye.

“There is the hard part of the world knowing this much, and thinking they know everything, and at the end of the day, we’re not interested in giving everyone our whole story,” explained Hadid.

“What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we’ve been through together.”

The famous exes have made made plenty of headlines for their on-again, off-again relationship over the years.

The two first struck up a romance in 2015 after meeting at a Victoria’s Secret party. When Hadid split with the former One Direction member in March 2018, they both shared statements to their respective social media accounts in which they wished each other the best.

However, just three months later, Hadid and Malik were spotted kissing in New York. Reports surfaced in 2019 that they had called it quits for a second time — though they were back together by early 2020.

They welcomed daughter Khai in September of that year.

Flash forward to October 2021, the couple split for good following allegations that Malik struck the model’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, during an argument at her ranch in Pennsylvania.

The “Better” singer explained via social media at the time that he would “not contest claims” about the dispute out of respect for the family’s privacy.

Gigi has since moved on with Bradley Cooper, whom she feels “really lucky” to have in her corner.

The model gushed about her “very romantic and happy” bond with the 50-year-old actor in her interview with Vogue, stating, “Getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential.”

“And then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve. And you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be,” she added.

“He gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief. For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself. Like, what’s the worst thing if I auditioned for this?”
