Gia Giudice opened up about her dynamic with her younger siblings after an alleged airport incident involving sister Milania Giudice.
“Gia as the older sister trying to be the calm peacemaker, I get you,” a social media user commented on Gia’s Thursday, September 24, TikTok video documenting her glam process for the Next Gen NYC reunion taping.
Gia, 25, dropped a “like” on the message, also responding, “Job of being the oldest.”
Gia also “liked” messages that read, “Praying for your sister” and “You’re the best big sister and daughter.”
Gia is the eldest daughter of exes Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice, who also share Gabriella, 21, Milania, 20, and Audriana, 17.
According to TMZ, Milania was allegedly spotted having a tense exchange with Teresa, 54, and Gia at the Tampa International Airport on Wednesday, September 23. The outlet reported that Milania posted — and quickly deleted — footage from the incident via social media.
While the Giudice women have not directly addressed the apparent fight, Joe, 54, issued a statement on Thursday.
“Milania is a good girl. She has a big heart, she loves deeply, and she cares enormously about the people in her life,” he told Page Six. “She is also young and going through a very difficult period right now.”
A rep for Milania has since confirmed that she is currently seeking professional help.
“She is currently surrounded by people who love her and is under the care of professionals who are working with her and her family,” spokesperson Marina DeSantis told TMZ on Thursday. “Milania is deeply loved by her family and friends, and all of us are doing everything we can to support her as she navigates an incredibly difficult time in her life, particularly following the devastating loss of her best friend, Victoria [Zardoya].”
The rep continued, “Milania is a good-hearted and caring young woman who has been going through a very challenging period, and our focus right now is simply on her health, healing and well-being. In time, she hopes that being open about her experiences may help other young people facing their own struggles, but for now, we ask for compassion and privacy as she and her family continue to navigate this together.”
Milania’s childhood best friend died at the age of 20 in July after a dangerous fall during a trip to Florida.
“She was really a part of our family, and yeah, it’s affected all of us a lot,” Gia exclusively told Us last month of Zardoya’s death. “But Milania, I feel like she feels like her twin flame is missing. That was like her person, and Victoria is also a twin. … My heart just goes out to [Alexandra Zardoya].”
Gia further noted that Milania had been “so strong” in the wake of Victoria’s fatal accident.
“It was, like, the ‘the four amigos.’ They were just a pack,” she said of Milania’s lifelong friends. “It’s been crazy. You can’t even imagine. You hear about these things happening to other people, or you see things in the news, but then when it actually hits home and affects you so closely, you can’t even wrap your head around it. It doesn’t even feel real.”
