Tom Brady is celebrating the last year of his 40s in total style!
The NFL legend turned 49 on August 3 and marked the big day with his three “best friends,” aka his three kids, sons Jack, 18, and Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13.
Tom shares his oldest with former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, and his two younger kids with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, and continues to amicably co-parent with both.
On his big day, the ex New England Patriots quarterback took to his Instagram page with some glimpses from his celebration, which looked to take place on a lavish yacht, surrounded by his kids and some friends.
He shared one snap on his Stories of himself sitting by the edge of the pool opening gifts from them. “Birthday presents from the best kids in the world,” he gushed, though quipped right after: “(That’s called R.O.I).”
That was followed up by a game of volleyball, led by the youngest of the crew, Vivian. “And Vivi Lake running the court as volleyball commissioner!!! Watch out @usavolleyball she’s coming! My favorite birthday activity.”
He then shared a post with some highlights from the birthday, including a pair of shots of him surfing, and one checking out birthday cards with his two younger kids, joking in his caption: “The 40s farewell tour starts today. It’s not the destination…it’s not the journey…it’s the company.”
Earlier in the week, the NFL TV analyst embarked on the “trip of a lifetime” to Alaska with his three kids, an emotional milestone for the group as it marks Jack’s last before he leaves home for college.
Tom and Bridget reunited in June for Jack’s high school graduation, joined by their extended families as well. “One of the proudest days of my life, watching Jack walk across the stage, and graduate into the next chapter of what’s already an impressive life,” the proud dad penned at the time on social media.
“What makes me happiest is knowing who you are when no one is watching. The way you show up for your friends. The way you check on people having a hard day. The love you give our family, and the fact that you still let me win in 1v1 every once in a while.”
“This isn’t an ending. It’s a starting line,” the dad-of-three added. “Whatever you chase next we know you’ll find success in. Take the risks. Be kind. Be yourself. And know your family and friends are always right behind you cheering the loudest because you do the same for everybody else!”
Sex and the City star Bridget also showered her son with praise, sharing photos of him with both his dad and her husband Andrew Frankel. “So proud of our boy Jack. We are all excited to see what you do next,” she wrote in her own post, on which her ex commented: “The most precious young man…”
