After Jennifer Aniston and Pedro Pascal were spotted grabbing dinner together, the stars clarified that they are just friends — which also happens to be the name of the sitcom Aniston evoked with her outfit.
The Last of Us actor, 49, and Morning Show star, 56, were photographed grabbing a bite together at Los Angeles’ Sunset Tower Hotel on Sunday, March 23, and it didn’t take long after the photos surfaced for Friends fans to notice something very familiar in the shots.
Deuxmoi shared several snaps of the stars on Instagram, and users were quick to not only laud Aniston’s layered top moment but also compare it to her Friends character — Rachel Green, who wore a similar outfit in one of the show’s most iconic moments.
“She’s giving Rachel Green realness,” one user declared in the comments, while others pinpointed the ‘fit — and, specifically, the black tank top layered over a white T-shirt — to the finale of the beloved ‘90s sitcom.
“Is she wearing the Rachel’s going to Paris look?!?” one user commented, while another wrote, “She’s wearing the ‘I got off the plane’ outfit .”
In the final episode of Friends, which ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004, Rachel (Aniston) pairs a black, high-neck tank top with a classic white undershirt — an ultra-’90s fashion choice that Alicia Silverstone also famously rocks in Clueless.
The outfit, which Rachel completed with a pleated mini skirt and knee-high boots, is one of the character’s most iconic looks.
Not only does it perfectly encapsulate the simple yet effortlessly chic style she developed throughout the show, but it also marks one of her most memorable moments: when Rachel ditches her flight to Paris to get back with Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) for good.
Decades after the epic conclusion of the show — and Ross and Rachel’s iconic will-they-won’t-they romance — Aniston rocked a nearly identical ‘fit, though she updated the look slightly to mirror her current personal style.
For her headline-making evening out with Pascal, the actress paired the layered tops with perfectly tailored, boot-cut jeans. She cuffed the dark-wash denim, which she paired with boots.
The Mandalorian actor — a style icon in his own right — also rocked denim, along with a black T-shirt, leather jacket and glasses. His wavy hair was slicked back out of his face for the L.A. outing, which he later dubbed a “fun martini dinner.”

After Aniston and Pascal were spotted together, a source told PEOPLE that the crossover was “a business dinner to get to know each other better.”
The source also noted that the actress “likes [Pedro’s] energy,” and “would love to work with him.”
Addressing the dinner at the season 2 premiere of The Last of Us himself on Monday, March 24, Pascal told Entertainment Tonight that he and Aniston “are very good friends,” and referred to their meal as a “fun martini dinner.”
After the ET reporter joked that he can’t even step out for a martini without making headlines, the actor added, “That’s her starlight — I’m just basking in it.”
