Kellie Shanygne Williams has marked her milestone 50th birthday in unforgettable style, sharing a striking Instagram post that left fans in awe of her bold and confident look.

The Family Matters star, best known for her role as Laura Winslow, looked incredible as she posed in a daring black ensemble featuring a plunging top layered beneath a sheer lace suit. 

Completing the statement look, Kellie accessorised with an oversized structured hat, dramatic sunglasses and statement jewellery, exuding confidence and modern glamour.

Alongside the stunning photo, Kellie shared a heartfelt caption reflecting on the milestone moment.

“Feeling so blessed today. Thank you all for the incredible love, messages, and support on my 50th birthday. My heart is truly full.

Family Matters first aired in 1989 and ran for nine seasons, becoming one of the most beloved family sitcoms of the 1990s. The show followed the Winslow family, led by Chicago police officer Carl Winslow and his wife Harriette, as they navigated everyday life with humour and heart.

Kellie starred as Laura, the smart, strong-willed middle child who quickly became a fan favourite. 

While the series initially centred on the family dynamic, it famously introduced neighbour Steve Urkel, played by Jaleel White, who went on to become one of television’s most iconic characters.

The show tackled themes of family, friendship and growing up, while also addressing real-life issues, helping it resonate with audiences across generations.

Kellie and her co star Telma Hopkins recently launched a Family Matters podcast  Welcome to the Family with Telma and Kellie. “To this day, ‘Family Matters’ is one of the most-streamed sitcoms, and it is an honor for me to be able to go back in time and remember what it was like as a kid to grow up on the show and go through some of the same things my character, Laura Winslow, did,” she shared. 

“Not to mention doing it with my surrogate mom, Telma, who’s become one of my closest friends and is really another member of my family, as well as reconnecting with fans and hearing how the show impacted them. We hope fans enjoy listening to these episodes as much as we have enjoyed making them!”
