She’s definitely popular now!
Ariana Grande received her first-ever Oscar nomination on Thursday — and privately celebrated with boyfriend Ethan Slater by her side.
Slater, who co-stars in “Wicked” with Grande, shared a rare snap of the singer standing on the balcony of their hotel room in London with several light pink balloons in hand.
Grande, 31, re-posted the upload to her own Instagram Story shortly after the full list of Oscar nominations were announced Thursday morning.
The “We Can’t Be Friends” singer was nominated for best actress in a supporting role for her portrayal as Glinda the Good Witch in the 2024 Jon M. Chu-directed film, which also stars Slater as Boq, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West, Jonathan Bailey as Prince Fiyero and Jeff Goldblum as the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande was nominated in the category alongside Monica Barbaro (“A Complete Unknown”), Felicity Jones (“The Brutalist”), Isabella Rossellini (“Conclave”) and Zoe Saldaña (“Emilia Pérez”).
Along with Grande’s solo nod, “Wicked” scored a whopping 10 nominations –– including best picture, best original score, achievement in costume design and achievement in visual effects, among others.
Grande took to her own Instagram Thursday to gush over the prestigious recognition. The post included a variety of snaps, including an adorable pic of her dressed as Dorothy as a kid.
“Picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition,” she wrote in her caption. “I cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise.”
Grande also told fans that she was “humbled and deeply honored” to be nominated alongside other “brilliant” actors.
The “Positions” singer then gave a special shout-out to Chu –– who was snubbed out of a best director nomination –– for “being the most unbelievably brilliant leader, human being, and most fierce friend.”
She added, “I am so deeply proud of my beautiful Wicked family.”
Grande also took the opportunity to express how “proud” she is of co-star Erivo for scoring her own nomination for best actress in a leading role.
”I am so proud of my Elphie, my sister, my dear @cynthiaerivo. your brilliance is never ending and you deserve every flower (tulip) in every garden. i love you unconditionally, always,” she wrote.
The former Nickelodeon star concluded the post by writing, “lemons and melons and pears, oh my.”
Grande and Slater, 32, seemingly awaited the exciting Oscar nominations news together, as they were both in London this week. The “Sam & Cat” alum was spotted attending a Universal lunch reception with Erivo, 38, in England one day prior.
The “Victorious” alum and the former “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical” star met on the set of “Wicked” and have been dating since 2023.
While the two seem to be getting more comfortable with sharing snippets of their relationship with fans, they’ve mostly kept their romance private up until now due to public criticism.
Grande was previously married to Dalton Gomez for two years, while Slater was married to Lilly Jay for nearly four years before coupling up with the singer. However, Grande has vehemently denied speculation that she and Slater were romantically involved prior to their respective splits from their spouses.
