Andrew Mountbatten-Windsorâs scandal has rocked the royal family, with repercussions not only for the former prince himself. His ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, is laying low with her whereabouts currently unknown, and his daughter, Princess Eugenie, has decided to step down from her position at charity, Anti-Slavery International. Princess Beatrice has been spotted going about her normal daily life in London, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has remained steadfast with work, heading up his international property development and design company, Banda Property.
Edoardo works around the globe with his business, with projects in Australia, Dubai, Los Angeles and London. One spectacular development the team worked on is in New York, 111 West 57th Street, and despite the amazing duplex being put on the market for an eye-watering $54.6 million in 2023, it has yet to sell. The residence is currently listed in the âfor saleâ section of the Banda Property website, with a message asking potential buyers to contact the private office via email. It will be quite the achievement when this huge business deal is completed.
Edoardoâs New York penthouse
The 604-square-meter home is located within the former Steinway & Sons piano company headquarters, boasting incredible views across the city skyline. Floor-to-ceiling windows make the most of the vistas, with each room using them to frame the setting. Highlights include a sprawling living space, styled up with curved sofas and futuristic pendant lights, as well as a contemporary master suite with calming beige and blue hues.Â
Edoardoâs travelsÂ
The 42-year-old has been busy of late, travelling to Fisher Island Club, off the coast of Miami, to oversee an exciting project at the start of the month. This trip comes after Edoardo also spent time here at the end of January and early February, when he shared numerous photos and videos from his time abroad on Instagram. At the time, he penned: âRecap of our time in Miami and Palm Beach. Meeting inspiring people, visiting remarkable places, and discovering exceptional art and craftsmanship.
âA real pleasure to exchange ideas with peers across the industry at @palmbeachdesigndays. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us, and to all of you who followed the journey along the way.âÂ
Uncertainty for Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice
While Edoardo is a dedicated businessman abroad, tensions are a little more fraught back in the UK. In the wake of their fatherâs arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice have found themselves and their life of royal privilege under the spotlight. While they are not working royals like Prince William and Princess Kate, they still have grace-and-favour residences for use when in London. Beatrice and her family base themselves inside St Jamesâs Palace, and Eugenie has a cottage on Kensington Palace grounds for herself and her family.
It is not known what further impact their fatherâs disgraced reputation will have on the princesses, but it is believed that they are not going to be attending any royal engagements at the moment, while the dust settles. While tongues were wagging that they were absent from the Commonwealth Day celebrations with other royals, this has always been an event reserved for working royals, so it would not have been in their calendar.
