Dylan Efron likes to keep his private life private, but the Traitors season 3 winner let the world know he’s off the market after the season ended in March 2025.
Efron appeared on “The Viall Files” podcast in March 2025, where he crushed the hopes of smitten fans everywhere by announcing he’s in a relationship.
“I’m in a relationship,” he said at the time. “It’s cool because she’s actually not on social media and she works a 40-hour week job.”
His girlfriend is Courtney King, and the two met in high school, though it’s not clear when they began dating. Regardless of how the pair got their romantic start, Efron hinted that a proposal could be on the horizon.
“Well, she knows the answer. We’re working on it,” the Dancing With the Stars contestant told “Viall Files” podcast host Nick Viall and wife Natalie Joy. “Courtney’s so down-to-earth, she’d never [impose a deadline]. Look, we’re 33. She’s not going to put a deadline on it.”

October 2016
King appeared on Efron’s Instagram for the first time in a #tbt post of the two of them in Hawaii. Efron could be seen smiling with his arm around King and a view of the coast behind them.
2024
King encouraged Efron to go on The Traitors, where he eventually won a share of the $204,300 prize.
“She’s always kind of said, ‘You should do something like this,’ because even on social media, I’m known on there, but people don’t really see my personality,” he said. “If people could see your personality, they’d fall in love with you like I did.”
August 2024
Efron posted a series of shirtless photos on the beach that have gone viral amid his Traitors fame. He later revealed that King took the photos.
“My girlfriend took the photo,” he said. “This was more that I’m trying to make her laugh as she’s taking photos. And then a couple months later, I was like, ‘Oh, I never posted that.’ It’s kind of funny. Hid it in a carousel.”
Efron’s Traitors co-star Britney Haynes even joked in the comments that she needed to ask her husband, Ryan, if she could like the photos for the “great SCENERY.”
February 2025
Perhaps an early indication that Efron has a girlfriend, he posted a carousel from a trip to Joshua Tree in California, with King featured midway through in a hiking pic.
March 7, 2025
The day after he was declared a co-winner of The Traitors, Efron revealed his relationship status in an appearance on “The Viall Files.”
“It works out really well. It’s not, like, I’m hiding her from the world or anything,” he said of the private nature of their relationship. “She understands the job, all the stuff. She doesn’t really like being on camera. She loves your guys’ podcast. I wouldn’t know about it [without her]. She’s the one who introduced me.”
October 2025
In the middle of competing on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars alongside professional partner Daniella Karagach, Efron revealed the grueling schedule may be harder on his girlfriend than himself.
“I would be lying if [I said] Dancing With the Stars wasn’t tough, but I think it’s tougher on Courtney than me,” Efron shared on the October 13 episode of the “Viall Files” podcast. “She’s so supportive. She knows I love her, 100 percent. We know it’s all temporary, so that’s why I don’t think anything’s really changed. I know it’s hard for us right now, but we’re still where we are. We still love each other and, yeah, we’re in a great place.”
In addition to rehearsing at least five hours a day, Efron said he has been living outside of their shared place to be “closer to where the studio is.”
November 2025
Efron and Karagach made it all the way to the DWTS finale, earning an 88 out of 90. After their emotional freestyle earned a perfect 30, King was spotted in the crowd wiping away tears.
