Dwayne Johnson is embracing self-care.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, Johnson, 52, shared a video on Instagram showing himself sitting in a vehicle as he looked over a field during a sunrise and wrote in his caption that he “finally learned the importance of self care.”
“Sitting quietly as the sun rises — to recharge, settle my mind before I leave for tour and the madness begins. The world is loud and noisy, and pulls at us from a million different directions,” Johnson wrote in the caption. “Find your anchor ⚓️ that helps you recalibrate your soul and protect it at all cost,” he added. “After all these years I’ve finally learned the importance of self care. Be good to yourselves, protect your anchor, and have a great weekend 👊🏾🥃 And do fun s— 😉.”
In the video, the actor said that he wanted to share with his Instagram followers “what heaven looks like.”
“Well, there’s a few other things about what morning heaven looks like — I’m going to keep this post clean, but here, check this out — this is my view every morning,” he said in the clip, as he panned the camera around.
Johnson said in the video that he was traveling to Germany, where he stepped out with his Red One costar Chris Evans at the upcoming holiday movie’s world premiere in Berlin on Sunday, Nov. 3.

“So peaceful up here. I love coming up here, I’ll just sit up here for 30, 45 minutes, sometimes longer sometimes shorter. Just recharge man, and sit in silence,” Johnson said. “Maybe I’ll turn some music on, maybe I’l start singing, there’s a bunch of bald eagles who fly around here too, and they’re like ‘Please stop singing, we don’t need that s— in the morning.’ This is my, one of my anchors. Gotta protect your anchors.”
Johnson’s movie Red One, which also features J. K. Simmons, Lucy Liu, Bonnie Hunt, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Nick Kroll and Kiernan Shipka, is based on an original story from Hiram Garcia, the president of production at Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions.
Jake Kasdan, who previously helmed Johnson’s films Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its sequel Jumanji: The Next Level, directed and co-produced the movie, which follows Johnson as the North Pole’s head of security, who “must team up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter (Evans)” to rescue Santa Claus after he is kidnapped.
Red One is in theaters Nov. 15.
