Dwayne Johnson Has Sweet Red Carpet Moment with Daughter Simone, 23, at the 2025 Golden Globes

Dwayne Johnson had a sweet father-daughter date at the 2025 Golden Globes!

At the Sunday, Jan, 5 event, the actor, 52, walked the Los Angeles red carpet alongside his 23-year-old daughter Simone Garcia Johnson.

The proud dad brought his signature swag, wearing a lavender satin shirt and a matching jacket, which he teamed with black dress pants and black shoes. He accessorized with a chain necklace and tinted glasses.

Dwayne’s film Moana 2 is nominated for best motion picture – animated.

“Of everything that I love about Moana, the thing that I love most is my daughters, all three of my daughters, see themselves in Moana,” Dwayne told E! on the red carpet. “And I think this idea of emboldening and empowering our young women and how important that is. And I get to run around, with my long hair as Maui, and go, ‘Cheehoo,’ and embolden our young girls—it’s awesome.”

The actor shares Simone with ex-wife Dany Garcia, as well as daughters Jasmine Johnson, 9, and Tiana Johnson, 6, whom he shares with his wife, Lauren Hashian.

In 2021, Dwayne opened up to PEOPLE about raising daughters.

“You can be wired, as a lot of fathers are, to fix things. Just having an expanded capacity to listen and be more tender and gentle really gave me that ability to solve whatever the issue is, but with them compared to for them,” he shared.

In November 2024, all three of Dwayne’s daughters joined him at the premiere of Moana 2 in Oahu, Hawaii. In photos, the family all wear floral leis around their necks, with the actor’s younger two girls matching in orange, pink and yellow tie-dye dresses. Simone opted for a long, floral dress and pendant choker.

In 2018, Simone was given the title of Golden Globe Ambassador, previously known as Miss Golden Globe.

“As we look forward to the 75th anniversary of the Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association members decided to expand this role to embody the HFPA’s philanthropic efforts year round,” HFPA President Meher Tatna said at the time. “The honoree will now be referred to as the Golden Globe Ambassador and we could not think of a better representative than Simone to carry on this tradition, as her values closely reflect everything the HFPA stands for.”
