Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, delivered a masterclass in understated elegance as she stepped out for a glittering evening in London, joining Lady Helen Taylor at a special gala celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Dr Jane Goodall.

Held at the luxurious Peninsula London, the Reasons For Hope Gala brought together a host of distinguished guests in support of the Jane Goodall Institute UK, honouring decades of pioneering conservation work.

The 61-year-old looked radiant in a flowing, floor-length gown featuring delicate paisley detailing in soft, neutral tones. The ethereal design was cinched at the waist with a coordinating belt, creating a flattering silhouette that perfectly balanced refinement and modern femininity.

She accessorised with a metallic clutch and statement earrings, while her blonde hair fell in soft waves around her shoulders, completing the polished yet relaxed look that has become synonymous with her royal style.

Standing alongside the Duchess was Lady Helen Taylor, who opted for an equally sophisticated ensemble. She wore a silky cream blouse paired with a rich, deep-toned skirt, layered with a sheer embroidered scarf that added texture and movement to her look.

Carrying a shimmering handbag, Lady Helen’s outfit struck the perfect balance between classic eveningwear and contemporary elegance.
