Barron Trump is no longer a teenager! Donald and Melania Trump’s son turned 20 on March 20, and celebrated in style with his family and friends away from the spotlight.
His birthday couldn’t have come at a better time either, as it’s fallen during Spring Break at NYU, where he has been a student at the Stern School of Business since 2024. Students have been out of school since March 16, and will return next week.
Barron was a student at New York University’s Manhattan campus during his first year of post-high school studies. However, at the start of his sophomore year, he transferred to NYU’s Washington, D.C. campus – allowing him to be closer to his family, who is very close to.
Resilient and headstrong
Described as “resilient” by his mom in her 2024 self-titled memoir, Barron has a bright future ahead of him, with a hugely impressive net worth of $150M thanks to cryptocurrency investments, Forbes reported last – and that’s before he’s even graduated!
Melania proudly wrote of her son’s “resilience” during the public scrutiny over his family, recalling the “remarkable young man he had become”.
“Barron possesses a rare combination of intelligence, charm, and diligence. He had remained resolute in his character and values even through the whirlwind of changes and challenges that accompanied his father’s election and presidency,” she wrote.
Donald and Melania’s ‘surprise’
Donald and Melania welcomed Barron – dubbed the billion-dollar-boy – in March 2006, six months after getting married. He was Melania’s first child and Donald’s fifth, and the pregnancy came as a “surprise.”
“At first he needed to take it in,” Melania later told People, before adding that he was “happy” when the news had sunk in.
“I expected we were going to have children, so I wasn’t totally surprised,” Donald added. “But I was surprised by the speed of it. It happened very quickly.”
Family first
In addition to all that money could buy, Barron has also been gifted a “full-time” mom. Melania has always said that her primary focus is being a mother insisting “I’m with him all the time”.
The couple claim they avoided nannies when they could, with Melania adding: “I like to be hands-on. I think it’s very important.” Donald agreed: “If you have too much help, you don’t get to know your children.”
Melania also stated that being a parent is “the most important job ever.”
Barron Trump’s future
He’s been branded a ‘carbon copy’ of his father and according to a source at People, he’s devoted to making money and a name for himself in business.
His personality
American entrepreneur, Patrick Bet-David, along with Tom Ellsworth and actor and comedian Vincent Oshana have spoken about Barron’s personality after spending significant time with him.
They dissected what they witnessed on an episode of Patrick’s PBD podcast when they recalled watching “Barron run dinner with stories, entertainment, everything,” for 90 minutes straight. “I’ve never seen Tom laugh this hard for an hour and a half,” Patrick said. Vincent was left in awe of the teen’s ability to keep the audience’s attention and previously said: “He’s 18. He’s witty, smart, hilarious. He was smart on politics. He’s like ‘You know, everybody’s always going to fight. There’s left. There’s right.'”
How he differs from his siblings
Unlike his older siblings, Barron grew up like an only child. Tiffany Trump – who is 12 years older – is closest in age. As a result, growing up primarily in the spotlight on his own has made him stronger.
