Dolly Parton honored by royal family in moving Buckingham Palace tribute

Buckingham Palace gave a royally touching tribute to Dolly Parton Wednesday morning.

During the Changing of the Guard ceremony the day after Parton’s death, the military band played the late country singer’s hit song ā€œ9 to 5.ā€

King Charles and Queen Camilla shared footage of the moving moment via social media.

ā€œRemembering the late, great Dolly, who brought joy, comfort and inspiration to so many — including the millions of children given free books through her Imagination Library,ā€ the caption read.

ā€œWe will always ā¤ļø you,ā€ the royals concluded, referencing another of Parton’s iconic releases.

Social media users praised the ā€œwonderfully doneā€ and ā€œperfectā€ tribute in the comments, with many writing it ā€œbrought [them] to tears.ā€

Parton’s nephew announced the actress’ death at 80 in an emotional video Tuesday, with her reps later confirming to Page Six that she ā€œbravely fac[ed] a brief battle with cancer.ā€
