Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Disney is offering Descendants fans a sweet little treat!

Following the success of Descendants: The Rise of Red in July 2024, Disney is releasing a 7-minute short titled Shuffle of Love: A Descendants Short Story, and PEOPLE has the exclusive first look before it officially premieres on YouTube on Feb. 12 and Disney+ on Feb. 13.

Starring Ruby Rose Turner as Bridget, aka the young Queen of Hearts, the musical short features an all-new scene from the 2024 film featuring the iconic song, “Shuffle of Love.”

As fans will recall from Descendants: The Rise of Red, Bridget (Turner) was seen listening to the song as she prepared for her big dance number Castlecoming, which in the original timeline featured a catastrophic event that made her become the evil Queen of Hearts.

However, in the Descendants film, Red (Kylie Cantrall) and Chloe (Malia Baker) are able to right some wrongs and change their present-day as they are magically are transported back in time to Merlin Academy and come face to face with younger versions of their parents, the Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora) and Cinderella (Brandy).

The new short further expands on Bridget’s big dance number as she enlists help from Red and Chloe to help her prepare.

“In the euphoria of perfecting her dance for all to see, Bridget’s imagination runs wild, and her dance explodes beyond her wildest dreams
or so she thinks,” reads the official synopsis from Disney.

As Bridget daydreams about her perfect dance number coming to fruition, a new twist is revealed as she awakens in her room and picks up her looking glass, which shows one’s future.

Despite telling Red and Chloe she never wanted to look at the looking glass, believing everything would turn out fine for her in the future, the new short teases that Bridget let her curiosity get the best of her — and she’s shocked by what she sees.

Not only does the new short completely change the way fans will watch Descendants: The Rise of Red, but it also shakes things up for the future of the franchise, which notably ended on a big cliffhanger.

Though Disney+ hasn’t confirmed a sequel yet, many of the stars previously told PEOPLE they would be open to returning as the movie premiered last summer.

“Here’s hoping,” Baker told PEOPLE about a potential follow-up, adding that she would personally enjoy seeing Cinderella and King Charming’s land explored more in another film.

Meanwhile, Cantrall teased that there could be more than meets the eye with that twist ending, noting there is certainly a “butterfly effect” whenever you time travel.

Dara ReneĂ© (Uliana) also teased that whenever you go to the past, “you’re going to mess up the future,” adding that “no matter what your good intentions are, something is going to be out of place.”

“Maybe Red did more damage than good,” she added.

As fans wait for news about another film, they’ll be able to catch all their favorite stars at the Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour, an interactive live concert experience that celebrates music from both the Descendants and Zombies franchises.
