The show’s existence has sparked debate among some viewers, with critics arguing that it sensationalises and profits from a tragic true story that the real-life family are still processing. And yet, series like this continue to draw millions of viewers.

In its analysis, The Telegraph summarised: “Love Story understands that appetite and, for the most part, feeds it with intelligence rather than opportunism. Royalty does not retire; it reincarnates – and we, the faithful subjects that we are, will never stop watching the coronation or the crash.”

What to expect from Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette

The series sees Paul and Sarah step into the shoes of John and Carolyn, two people from very different walks of life but who can’t deny the undeniable chemistry they share after first meeting.
