Like a scene out of his cringey HBO masterpiece “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” die-hard Knicks fan Larry David rebuked the owner of the Boston Celtics when he refused to try on his championship ring!

Spies said that David was sitting courtside at the Knicks-Celtics game Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, along with stars Ben Stiller, Denzel Washington, Chris Rock and, of course, Spike Lee.

A spy told Page Six that “Celtics owner Wyc [Grousbeck] came down to the courtside seats and took off his championship ring — which was huge — and said to Larry David, ‘Do you want to try it on?’ ” But “Larry said ‘No,’ ” the spy elaborated.

That’s when Grousbeck tried again. “He said, ‘Don’t you wanna just hold it?’ Larry said ‘No,’ ” said the insider.

“It was very funny!” said the source, as the buzzer sounded for the game to start and Grousbeck headed off, presumably to his suite.

Reps for David, MSG and the Celtics did not comment on the awkward exchange.

The Celtics dominated the Dallas Mavericks last year in the NBA Finals, winning four games to one and getting their first championship since 2008. But the Celtics were put up for sale soon after the team’s win.

Grousbeck seemingly likes attention from celebs. We reported last summer that he walked into Michael Rubin’s starry Bridgehampton Fourth of July mansion bash holding the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, where guests included Drake, Kim Kardashian, Leo DiCaprio, Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

David has been a Knicks regular. Last year, he was courtside with co-star Susie Essman days ahead of the show’s series finale.

He’s told sportscaster Rich Eisen of Knicks player Jalen Brunson, “He’s tremendous. He doesn’t seem athletic in a way. And yet he gets . . . he slithers in! And then he kinda backs . . . he does that thing! Y’know? Back! He’s going backward!”
