Dick Van Dyke attributed his good health to working out at the gym three times a week.
âIâve always exercised, three days a week,â the âMary Poppinsâ star, 99, shared on Wednesdayâs episode of the âWhere Everybody Knows Your Nameâ podcast.
âI get down and do a lot of stretching and yoga,â he added, explaining he uses a lot of workout machines to get a full body sweat.
Van Dyke explained his active lifestyle might be the reason why he is still lively, unlike others his age.
The âDick Van Dyke Showâ alum was previously spotted leaving the gym on the eve of his 98th birthday in 2023 with his wife, Arlene Silver.
At the time, he joked that Silver, 53, makes him work out, though he âhatesâ it.
Elsewhere on Wednesdayâs podcast, Van Dyke enthusiastically shared that heâs looking forward to making it to his 100th birthday on Dec. 13, 2025, saying heâs going to throw a âbig party.â
The legendary actorâs big plans for his milestone birthday by far exceeded the low-key gathering he had for his 99th birthday.
During an appearance on âJimmy Kimmel Liveâ last month, Van Dyke shared he planned to âhide outâ for his birthday and maybe invite his kids over.
At the time, the âChitty Chitty Bang Bangâ star joked that he was âvery old,â saying, he was âold enough to beâ the father of former President Joe Biden, 82.
âDementia. I get dementia once in a while,â he quipped.
âLike right now, I think Iâm on the Jimmy Kimmel show.â
Van Dyke is the father to kids Christian, 74, Barry, 73, Stacy, 69, and Carrie Beth, 62, whom he shared with his late ex-wife Margie Willett.
The âMary Poppins Returnsâ star and Willet, who died in 2008, were wed from 1948 to 1984.
He got re-married to Silver in 2012, and theyâve been together ever since.
