Dick and Angel Strawbridge dismiss rumours over ‘forever’ home’s future in rare family photo

Dick and Angel Strawbridge will be enjoying the Easter holidays with their two children at their gorgeous chateau home, which they have owned since 2015.

In a photo to mark the holidays, three generations of the Strawbridge family posed, with Dick and Angel seen joined by their two children and Angel’s parents. The family were all seen beaming as the impressive chateau was seen behind them.

In the caption on the photo, the pair also addressed rumours that they might be considering leaving their iconic home. “Family selfie taken right here
right now in our Forever Home!” they said. “3 generations enjoying a sunny spring evening.

The proud parents gave an insight into their Easter break

Their message concluded: “Thank you for the love and support! Have a great evening xxx. P.s If you are coming to an event this year, we cannot wait to welcome you!”

Fans were quick to respond to the photo, as one enthused: “The chateau couldn’t have a more wonderful family taking care of it. Always a pleasure to see your smiling faces!” while a second added: “Happy Easter to you all – such a gorgeous family photo.”

A third commented: “The whole family. What a joy to find you again! What a smile! Happy Easter holidays,” and a fourth said: “Dear Lord, how your kids are growing!”

Glimpse into their lives

Although the couple’s popular Channel 4 show, Escape to the Chateau, came to an end in 2022, the pair still entertain fans with insights into their lives in the French countryside.

In a recent newsletter, the pair shared: “Yesterday, we welcomed 50 garden lovers from around the world for our annual spring Garden Day. There was digging, pruning and planting
and everything else in between!”

The couple share their home with their two children

The newsletter was accompanied by a photograph of said helpers outside their sprawling pad before they headed inside to enjoy a “well-deserved lunch” in the Orangery.

The couple moved France in order to escape UK living costs and to find a better quality of life. They purchased the incredible 19th-century Chùteau-de-la-Motte-Husson in Martigné-sur-Mayenne for £280,000 and took on the task of renovating it into a family home and an events venue.
