DeVonta Smith and Mya Danielle are going into 2025 as an engaged couple.
The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, 26, proposed to Danielle on New Yearâs Eve, and she proudly shared the news in a post on her Instagram on Dec. 31.
âWent on a ROCK climbing adventure with my forever tonight đ„čđđ€đ„,â she captioned her post.
In the photos, the couple can be seen on the roof of a tall building in front of a colorful flower arch featuring roses, sunflowers, and greenery.
Both couples wore sleek, matching black outfits for the proposal and despite the rain apparent in the photo, both were beaming in photos as Smith slipped the ring onto Danielleâs hand.
Candles decorated the floor in the picture, and a violinist was on hand to serenade the happy pair.
Danielle also shared an up-close video of the ring to her Instagram story, captioning it âđ„čđ„čđ„č ending the year a fiancĂ©,â and jokingly adding, âYall take a shot for me đ€Ł.â
The exciting news comes after the couple recently announced they are expecting another bundle of joy. Smith and Danielle, who first debuted their relationship on Instagram in June 2023, welcomed their first child, daughter Kyse, 1, in October 2023.
Danielle shared some snaps from their daughterâs first birthday, showing Kyse dressed in a poofy pink dress. âHello Kyse turns ONE! Happy 1st birthday to my sweet baby love. Time has went by so fast I canât believe sheâs one already. đ€đ,â she captioned the post
She added a joking addendum to the caption as well, poking fun at her now-fiancĂ©: â** by the end of the shoot she started acting like her da and was over the pictures đ€Ł.â
In late December 2024, the couple shared a post featuring the two and Kyse wearing matching navy blue outfits. Danielle also showed off her growing baby bump.
âHappy Holidays from our growing familyđ€âïž,â she wrote in the caption.

The coupleâs happy moment comes after another happy moment for the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend, who beat their NFC East rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, in a 41-7 victory on Sunday, Dec. 29. Smith has been a contributor to the Eaglesâ success this season, with 68 receptions for 833 yards and eight touchdowns in only 13 games.
The former Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Alabama is the only fourth wide receiver to be honored with the award. The Eagles drafted him in the 2021 NFL draft.
