The Detroit Lions are proving it’s never too early to be drafted.
The official ESPNW Instagram profile that highlights women, sports and culture reposted an adorably hilarious TikTok video of mom Madison Peltzer holding her baby son.
Text over her video read, “When your 6 month old is 31 lbs.” Additionally, Petlzer noted in the caption, “He’s in the 99th percentile for everything 🫠 we love a chunky baby!!!!”
According to ESPNW, the NFL team’s official page took an interest, commenting, “Dibs.”
The Instagram post then garnered several more reactions, with the Lions commenting again with, “👀.”
Not to be outdone, Peloton even threw in their early offer to work with the baby someday in the future. “okay, hear us out… future instructor in the making? 😅,” the exercise equipment and media company commented on ESPNW’s post.
Other admirers were just in awe of the baby’s size. “What are they feeding this kid? I’m tryna bulk so gimme the secret, 😭” wrote one user, while another responded, “He’s gonna be the kid that the parents of the opposing teams are gonna request his birth certificate 😂.”

The Lions, meanwhile, are the team to beat this year as the leaders in the NFC North division with 15 wins and only 2 loses. They will host the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Jan. 19 as they compete for the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs and vie to get a step closer to earning their spot to play in Super Bowl LIX.
However the two have already faced off in the playoffs three times with Washington claiming all three wins.
The Lions are led by quarterback Jared Goff, who is in his third year with the Lions. Last spring he tied the knot with Sports Illustrated model Christen Harper in their Ojai, Calif., wedding ceremony. The couple met in 2019 through the dating app Raya.
Goff popped the question in June 2022 while the couple vacationed in Los Cabos, Mexico. He asked her to marry him while on the beach, surrounded by roses. “6.16.22 can’t wait for forever with you,” Christen wrote in a caption announcing the engagement. A few days later she wrote on social media that she was “still on cloud 9” following her surprise engagement.
