New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye’s wife, Ann Michael Maye, prepared for his big game by making an even bigger style statement to show her support from the sidelines.
Ann Michael, 22, turned to Oregon-based designer Aaron Asunsolo for her custom jacket, which was made from patches of her husband’s jersey, a Patriots hoodie and an illustrated photo of Drake, 23, to achieve a one-of-a-kind look.
“I just start cutting it up and placing it where I think it looks aesthetically pleasing,” Asunsolo said, per the Boston Globe in a new article published on Tuesday, January 27. The designer is known to put elbow grease and TLC into her pieces, which can take up to 10 hours to complete.
Asunsolo put “DRAKE” and his jersey number “10” front and center. Ann Michael rocked the jacket for her husband’s AFC Championship game against the Denver Broncos, which resulted in the Pats’ victory with a 10-7 score, giving the second-year quarterback a chance at the Super Bowl ring.
The Patriots WAG completed her look with a fluffy white hat, red track pants and tortoise shell sunglasses, which complimented her phone case in a selfie she posted on Sunday, January 25.
The official NFL X page posted her game day look, captioning it, “Ann Michael Maye’s got the AFC Championship fit ready 🔥.”
“She understood the assignment 🔥” one social media user replied, while another sounded off, “Queen of New England Ann Michael Maye.” A third wrote, “She has so much aura.”
Asunsolo was also the designer behind a similar coat made for Parker Henry, who was showing sartorial support to her husband, tight end Hunter Henry.
Asunsolo said that after both ladies rocked her custom coats, more people have reached out to inquire about getting their own unique game-day jackets.
The designer revealed that she and her mother watched the AFC Championship game and were pumped when it was clear that the Patriots were going to secure a victory.
“We were excited. We knew something was bubbling . . . but I didn’t know how big it would be,” said Asunsolo. “Lately, I’ve been very excited about sports.”
Ann Michael previously showed off another stylish look while cheering for her beau earlier this month.
She wore her “I [Heart] Drake Maye” sweatshirt, “because, obviously,” paired with Booty by Brabants leggings and a long, Abercrombie coat — hopping on the faux fur trend worn by Olivia Culpo, the wife of San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey, and NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews during recent games.
Like other WAGS, Ann Michael has been thrust in the spotlight especially as the Patriots prepare for Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, February 8.
Ann Michael and Drake share a lot of history together as they have dated since middle school. Drake proposed to Ann Michael in January 2025, and they tied the knot six months later.
A recent clip of the couple’s interaction post-Championship game led to claims Drake’s “body language” was off. However, another angle of their exchange, which the NFL shared via Instagram on Wednesday, January 28, showed just how exciting that moment was for the pair.
