From NYC to Miami.
Derek Jeter and 50 Cent were spotted catching up at Wayne Boichâs starry Reserve Cup Miami 2026 padel tournament Thursday, an insider exclusively tells Page Six.
We hear the longtime friends were seen âlaughing, catching up and joking about the good timesâ while hanging backstage ahead of the rapperâs performance.
âIt felt less like a padel tournament kickoff and more like Madison Square Garden energy, just without the cold,â the source recalls.
Fiddy, 50, notably hails from Queens, while Jeter, 51, played for the New York Yankees for the entirety of his 20-year MLB career.
Jeter and NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler, who are team captains for the competition, saw their matches postponed for the evening after it started raining in the typically sunny coastal-Floridian city.
Despite the bad weather, the âP.I.M.P.â artist decided to go ahead with his performance for the Opening Night Post-Match Party, presented by Hard Rock Bet.
â50 grabbed the mic and made it clear there was âno need to worry,ââ the source says, adding that he rapped several hits including âIn Da Club,â âCandy Shop,â âBig Rich Townâ and âJust a Lil Bit.âÂ
He also gave a shout-out to Mark Wahlberg, who was in attendance and spotted hanging with the retired Yankee.
Earlier in the night, guests explored the luxury Fan Village, complete with a Dorsia caviar cart and bites and beverages by The Joyce, Miami Slice and Big Face Coffee. The exclusive Reserve Club, a VIP lounge with prime seating, had a culinary program by Groot Hospitality.
âNobody was pretending they werenât bummed about the cancellation,â a second spy said. âBut instead of letting the weather win, they turned it into a celebration for padel, for the players, and for Reserve Cup.â
The second source described the kick-offâs vibe as âhigh, loud, and unapologetically Miami with the perfect amount of 50 Cent.â Â
âThis yearâs Reserve Cup represents a meaningful step forward,â Boich said in a statement obtained by Page Six. âFrom the level of competition on court to how fans experience the weekend, every element has been elevated â including an expanded and refined Reserve Fan Village that builds on last yearâs success.â
This yearâs edition â which takes place from Jan. 22 to Jan. 24 â will showcase the worldâs top-ranked padel players, including Arturo Coello, AgustĂn Tapia, Alejandro GalĂĄn, Federico Chingotto, Miguel Yanguas, Javier Garrido, and Javier Leal.
The winner will take home the coveted Reserve Cup trophy as well as $600,000 in prize money.
