Demi Moore’s daughter, Scout Willis, has brought her signature quirky style to her Los Angeles mansion, creating a space affectionately dubbed “the Chapel of Love.” The 34-year-old invited Architectural Digest into her Normandy-style cottage that was originally built by architect Frederick A. Hanson.

“I wanted it to feel like an adult woman’s home. And at the same time, like an absolute whimsical, sensual child’s playground,” she told the outlet. Scout collaborated with Roman Alonso from Commune Design to strip the ceiling beams, revise the windows, and renovate the kitchen space.

The 1,000-square-foot home features a charming kitchen with a brown-and-white checkerboard backsplash, green concrete countertops, chartreuse linoleum floors, dark wood cabinets, and gold hardware fixtures.

Meanwhile, the living area features soaring ceilings with ornate detailing, plush velvet furnishings in green and muted orange, and a mustard-yellow carpet. A marble coffee table anchors the room alongside a cozy fireplace, while a hanging lantern adds a boho touch.

Scout leant into her femininity when it came to her dressing room, which she calls “my surrealist Marie Antoinette 1930s department-store closet.” The room features pink cabinets and walls, a red floral carpet, and a centrally placed blue velvet sofa with an abstract shape.

“What I love so much about LA – and this house – is it’s kind of like a palimpsest, where all these different eras are overlaid. I use my music this way, I use all my work this way. It’s like a spell,” she added.

Scout’s whimsical style is something she also infuses into her sartorial agenda. Back in September, she was spotted out in a sheer slip dress for lunch in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. The white dress was adorned with delicate yellow floral embroidery and featured a sleeveless design with spaghetti straps, cut elegantly at the ankle. Scout went braless, wearing only white underwear beneath the daring dress, which she paired with burgundy cowboy boots and a matching leather handbag.

The mother-and-daughter duo share a close relationship

Demi and her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, tied the knot in 1987 and split in 2000. The former couple share three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. The family have had a challenging few years since Brue was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2023. “Regardless of what the outside relationship has been, we have maintained being a family in various forms,” Demi told People. “The foundation of making our children our priority has never wavered.”

She shared that she is now content with “my family, including my four-legged family, my children and all of the incredible, loving people in my life.” “I feel really so lucky,” she added.
