Demi Moore and Bruce Willis have a die-hard relationship.
The actress â who was married to Willis from 1987 to 2000 â wished her ex-husband a very happy 71st birthday on Thursday.
âAll you need is LOVE. Happy birthday, BW! â„ïž,â she captioned the sweet Instagram tribute that featured two photos of Willis with his granddaughter, Louetta.
She also shared the adorable photos on her Instagram Stories, captioning them, âGenerational birthday love! Happy birthday, BW!â
Bruce and Moore, 63, were married for 13 years before splitting in 2000. During their time together, they welcomed daughter Rumer â Louettaâs mom â as well as Scout and Tallulah.
The âDie Hardâ actorâs wife of 16 years, Emma Heming, shared her own birthday tribute to Instagram, touching on Willisâ frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.
âToday we celebrate Bruceâs birthday. đ,â the âUnexpected Journeyâ author, 47, began. âThis journey with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) has opened my eyes to the realities so many families face. Itâs what inspired me to create The Emma & Bruce Willis Fund to raise awareness of FTD, support research, and stand beside the caregivers who carry so much every day.â
Heming â who shares daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, with Willis â added that if anyone wants to honor her husband on his special day, they should âconsider supporting the fund.â
In 2022, the legendary actorâs family announced he was retiring from acting following an aphasia diagnosis. Shortly after, his battle with dementia was revealed.
In January, Hemind opened up about her husbandâs condition, explaining that Willis ânever connectedâ the dots that he has dementia.
When asked by Cameron Rogers on her âConversations with Camâ podcast if Willis is aware of his frontotemporal dementia (FTP) diagnosis, Heming confessed that he thinks his behavior is completely normal.
âI think thatâs the blessing and the curse of this, Bruce never tapped in â he never connected the dots that he has this disease and Iâm really happy about that, that he doesnât know about it,â she shared.
However, Heming clarified that Willis is not in denial, but it is his brainâs way of helping him understand his new normal.
She added that the actor also knows who everyone around him is, as he has dementia and not Alzheimerâs disease.
As Heming put it, âYou just learn how to adapt and meet them where they are at.â
