Demi Lovato announced the cancellation of several tour dates over unspecified health concerns.
âMy Lovatics â I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can. While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible,â the singer wrote via Instagram Stories on Tuesday, referencing her upcoming âItâs Not That Deepâ tour.
The âCool For the Summerâ songstress continued, âTo protect my health, and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse and ultimately adjust to a schedule with some more time off that will allow me to handle the entire run of the tour.â
Lovato, 33, went on to say that sheâd be cancelling previously scheduled April appearances in Charlotte, N.C.; Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Denver.
âI am so sad to say that I will no longer be able to see you on this tour and I am so sorry to those who planned to be there,â she wrote, adding âOrlando â we are moving your show to April 13th and will kick off there.â
Lovato explained that fans who purchased tickets through AXS or Ticketmaster would automatically be issued refunds, while third-party sellers ticket buyers would need to reach out to their point of purchase.
She added that in Orlando, Fla., âpreviously purchased ticketsâ would be âhonored for the new date.â
âI am so excited for this tour and am looking forward to seeing so many of your faces singing with me!â the âSorry Not Sorryâ hitmaker concluded the announcement. âThank you for your support always. I love you and I cannot wait to see you soon.â
The tour â which Lovato announced in October â was originally set to kick off in Charlotte on April 8.
A rep for Lovato did not immediately return Page Sixâs request for further comment.
Lovato â who showed off her dramatic 50-pound weight loss in bikini photos last month â previously said she wouldnât tour anymore, amid her 2022 âHoly Fvckâ tour.
âIâm so fâking sick I canât get out of bed,â she wrote atop apparent photos of a hotel room in September 2022. âI canât do this anymore. This next tour will be my last. I love and thank you guys.â
Lovato is the latest musician to step away from the mic due to a health concern.
In September, Lady Gaga abruptly pulled the plug on her Miami Mayhem Ball, explaining that her voice was âextremely strained.â
âBoth my doctor and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses,â she wrote at the time.
Also in September, Lola Young canceled a performance at Audacyâs We Can Survive show due to mental health concerns before collapsing onstage at the All Things Go Music Festival a day later.
âLola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,â the singerâs manager, Nick Shymansky, wrote via Instagram at the time.
âShe is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.âÂ
