David Beckham showed off his plethora of body art during a recent trip to Miami, days after his son Cruz revealed Victoria Beckham had removed all of her tattoos, including her tributes to her husband.
The 50-year-old posed up a storm in his latest Instagram post and ditched his shirt for a selfie in the glistening sun, after celebrating the opening of his football team, Inter Miami’s Nu stadium.
Standing up in a swimming pool, the former footballer leaned against the edge and snapped a quick picture as the sun beamed down over his shoulder, highlighting his array of tattoos which cover his chest, arms and neck.
The father-of-four flexed his abs against the tropical backdrop of palm trees and added a caption that read: “Good afternoon,” with a sun emoji as he smiled in a baseball cap.
Fans were quick to express their admiration for the star in the comments, and among them was David’s wife Victoria, 51, who playfully said: “Someone has been in the gym!!!,” with fire and red heart emojis.
“Ageing like fine wine,” a follower added underneath the ex-Spice Girls star’s words, while another joked: “You are one lucky woman!” with fire and heart eye emojis.
David’s subtle dig
David’s post came days after his youngest son, Cruz, 21, revealed on Instagram that his mum had removed all her six tattoos from her body, including her tribute to her husband.
The budding rockstar was answering questions on his social media account when a fan asked about the fashion designer’s ink and what was happening to it. Cruz kicked things off by saying: “Hi it’s Cruz, I’m gonna be replacing AI. Ask me all of your questions.”
A fan proceeded to ask him: “Does Victoria Beckham have any tattoos? I know that David has many,” to which he replied: “No, not anymore x.”
One of Victoria’s most famous tattoos was her matching dedication to her husband of over 25 years. She previously inked the numerals “VIII-V-MMVI”, which is the date May 8, 2006, onto her wrist.
The date signified the day they renewed their wedding vows, and David still has his matching tattoo on his right wrist. Above the numerals, Victoria also had the words “De Integro”, which means “again from the start”.
The mum-of-four also had two other tribute tattoos on her body that she has since removed, one in the form of his initials on her other wrist and the phrase “Together, forever, eternally” written in Hebrew, which she had scrawled above his initials.
