It’s Christmas Spice!
A holiday party got some (presumably) rather welcome crashers, when David and Victoria Beckham slipped in for some Christmas spirit.
Page Six hears that the pair wanted to check out the buzzy (and hard-to-get-into) Clemente Bar at Eleven Madison Park while they were in town — but the place was booked out by some chic company for its yuletide bash.
But, unaccustomed to being deterred, Posh and Becks generously said they didn’t mind about the booking and would be perfectly willing to go anyway… And ended up happily sipping their cocktails amid the corporate merrymaking.
“They insisted on going up anyway,” said an insider, “In a very nice way!”
We hear the pair have been in town for some holidays bashes and had been filming a documentary of some kind at 11 Madison Park when they decided that they fancied a tipple at the new lounge upstairs.
It seems they’ve already returned home to Miami.
Clemente is the intimate — by which we mean tiny — new lounge from 11 Madison Park owner Daniel Humm above his restaurant, which is reliably named as one of the best in the world.
The restaurant famously went meat-free in 2021, and the new spot only offers plant-based snacks.
According to Time Out, the bar is “a collaborative effort between Daniel Humm and neo-expressionist artist Francesco Clemente, [and] features one-of-a-kind works from Clemente, including two 17-foot-long murals.”
It adds “Sebastian Tollius’s cocktails draw the eye [with] curry and saffron-spiked martinis and clarified cocktails topped with koji cream.”
It’s named after Clemente.
Reps for the Beckhams didn’t get back to us.
