Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum were seen together for the first time since the musician’s shocking announcement that he’d become the father of a baby girl born outside of their marriage.

The Foo Fighters frontman, 56, and his wife of over two decades, 48, were spotted in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Feb. 11, as Blum picked Grohl up from a home in the San Fernando Valley. The New York Post‘s Page Six was the first to report the news.

Grohl carried a duffle bag as he exited the home and, after he entered the car, the two chatted as Blum drove, per photos obtained by the outlet.

The longtime couple — who wed in 2003 and are parents to daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10 — did not appear to be wearing their wedding rings.

The L.A. outing between the pair comes five months after Grohl announced he had welcomed “a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage” in a statement on Instagram in September 2024.

In the same statement, the “My Hero” singer said he planned to be “a loving and supportive parent to” the new baby. As for Blum and their children, he said, “I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

Grohl has been spotted out solo in the wake of the scandal. Last month, he volunteered with L.A. wildfire relief efforts on his birthday, and he later performed alongside his fellow Nirvana band members and daughter Violet at the FireAid Benefit Concert.

In December, three months after Grohl’s shocking announcement, a source told PEOPLE that he and Blum were trying to move on, noting that their marriage “is still not in great shape,” but “they are trying to move forward.”

“It was just such a shock for Jordyn. Her first instinct was that she wanted a divorce. The betrayal felt too heavy,” the insider said at the time. “But as weeks passed, she got some space to think and it just felt very sad to her if the family would split up.”

News of the couple’s intent to move on came shortly after they spent the holidays together, along with their three daughters. It also came after a source told PEOPLE in November that the rocker was no longer working with a divorce attorney and was “instead hoping to work things out with his wife.”

“Dave’s been prioritizing his family,” a second source said at the time. “He knows he messed up. It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.”

An insider added to PEOPLE that same month that Blum “had time to process everything,” and remained focused on her kids.

“She doesn’t want to make any hasty decisions, since it’s all affecting their girls,” the source explained. “She’s still unhappy and not wearing her wedding ring, but things have calmed down.”
