Danielle Carolan is an expert on morning routines. With her series, AM Uncovered, the influencer and co-host of the Gals on the Go podcast, has interviewed dozens of guests about how they get up and get moving everyday.

And now that the podcast’s Who Is She? tour is in full swing, she’s a pro at prepping for the stage too.

“I definitely have my must-haves and pre-show rituals to get me in the zone before a Gals on the Go live show,” Carolan tells PEOPLE. Her number one “non-negotiable” is sparkling water. “It sounds funny, but the carbonation actually helps calm my nerves,” she explains. She also uses essential oils from Saje Wellness to maintain her zen. (She says the Stress Release Inhaler is “amazing for centering my breathing.”)

She and her co-host Brooke Miccio make sure the green room is stocked with snacks. “One of the perks of touring is the backstage rider, so we have a spread of cheese, crackers, cruditĂ©, hummus, gummy bears, and, of course, Lacroix. Basically, all the essentials!”

When she wants to get in a party mood, she takes a shot of Grey Goose and cranks up Drake. “His songs get me so hyped, almost like it’s game day!”

For the first tour stop in Philadelphia, Carolan and Miccio, left their signature pink ensembles at home in favor of a metallic theme. Carolan says her green Self-Portrait dress which featured iridescent embellishments was “screaming her name” while Miccio opted for a silver Herve Leger look.

Using the rich tone of Carolan’s dress as inspiration, makeup artist Cat Mignano went for “glizy glam” which translated to bold black liner and highlighter in the inner corners. “For the stage, we definitely amp up the glam to make sure it shines under the lights,” says Carolan.

With their outfits and makeup on point, the duo was focused on creating an unforgettable night for their guests. “We want the audience to feel totally connected, like they’re in on all our inside jokes and part of every conversation. A lot of girls come solo and leave with a new friend – which warms my heart! We dive into stories we’ve never shared before and bring in a ton of interaction—games and audience participation. We want people to leave feeling uplifted, like they’ve laughed, bonded, and are included in something that’s totally exclusive to this tour.”

Here, Carolan takes PEOPLE backstage for a look at how it all comes together.

Let the Glam Begin!

Glam time with our amazing NYC makeup artist, Cat Mignano! Hair was done earlier in the city by Glam Squad, been a huge fan of them recently — Brooke got me onto it! Wearing my Rag and Bone sweatpant jeans of course. We have our GOTG pre show playlist playing to get us in the right mindset.

The Beauty Breakdown

Products Cat used that MADE the look — Makeup By Mario lip liner in Tan and Plumping Lip Serum in Nude Glow. The eyeshadow glitter was from the Pat McGrath Labs Mothership V Bronze Seduction palette.

All That Glitters

The dress I wore is from Self-Portrait. I got it a few months ago knowing I would want to wear it somewhere — and the first stop on our Who Is She? Tour felt right! As for accessories, I went for some gold earrings from Electric Picks and various rings. For shoes, I need comfort — wearing platform heels!

Beauty Bestie

Cat and I always try to get a picture together before every show! Right before we took the photo Cat goes, “Wait I need to put a lip on!”

Last Looks

We always have such yummy snacks in the green room, so naturally I had to partake! Cat probably had to do three different touch ups on my lip before the show. She also adds body glow to my arms/chest which is my favorite.

Dynamic Duo

The final look! I felt so good in this outfit, which is so important because then I feel more confident on stage.

At this point, the nerves have definitely kicked in, but thankfully my partner in crime Brooke is cracking jokes and making me laugh. Her dress is Herve Leger and it’s giving everything it needs to give. She looked beautiful. I think our outfits went together quite nicely.

Crushing It

The best part of the whole evening — the show has begun! It was full of laughter (and some surprises). Such a rewarding feeling. Cannot wait for our NYC show next on December 6th.
