Greedy, much?
“Dance Moms” star Abby Lee Miller claims dancer-turned-pop star Tate McRae recently snubbed her at a trendy restaurant in West Hollywood, Calif.
“I don’t know her that well, I just know her [enough] to say ‘hello,’” the dance coach, 59, exclusively shared on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. “I just saw her at Craig’s having dinner a couple weeks ago.”
When asked whether McRae, 21, was excited to see her, Miller replied, “No, she didn’t even look at me. She had her nose in the air.”
A rep for McRae did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Long before her breakout as a pop star, McRae got her start as a competitive dancer.
The “Greedy” singer competed in the same circuits as the “Dance Moms” girls Miller once trained — and later became the first Canadian finalist on “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2016.
While speaking to Page Six, Miller addressed the viral TikTok video that features resurfaced footage of McRae winning first place at a competition in 2015. At the time, the “Exes” singer defeated a few of the girls from “Dance Moms,” including Maddie Ziegler.
“We did dances in two days, and the kids weren’t in class properly,” Miller told Page Six, defending her then-star performer and other talented students. “Tate probably worked on that dance for about six months before the competition, and then [did] the same routine at every competition.”
According to Miller, her girls “did a different [routine]” every week.
“Nobody ever did what we did,” she added. “We did 637 numbers.”
Despite McRae’s apparent snub, Miller went on to commend the singer for her success in the industry.
“I think that it’s great that she can whack her leg up there while she’s [singing],” the choreographer said, referencing McRae’s viral dance moves. “It shows that you have to do everything. You have to be a triple threat – she’ll be acting next, probably.”
