Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott’s fiancé Sarah Jane Ramos had $40,000 of items stolen from her car as the FBI warns sports leagues about organized theft groups targeting professional athletes.

Ramos’ car was robbed after she forgot to lock her car door while rushing to a Pilates class on Thursday, Dec. 26, according to a Dallas Police Department report obtained by ABC-affiliate WFAA.

When Ramos returned to her car after the workout class, police said several items had been taken and she “was notified that her credit cards were being used at [another] location.”

The report detailed the stolen property, including designer handbags and wallets from Chanel, YSL, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Prada, per the news organization. Computer software and cash were also taken.

Ramos is currently expecting her second child with Prescott after welcoming their first daughter, Margaret Jane “MJ” Rose, in February 2024.

PEOPLE reached out to the Dallas Police Department about Ramos’ car burglary but did not immediately hear back.

The incident comes amid a string of burglaries in the area. The Dallas Morning News reports that the Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic and the Dallas Stars’ Tyler Seguin recently experienced home burglaries.

Joe Burrow, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes also experienced break-ins this year.

Earlier this month, the FBI warned sports leagues about theft groups targeting athletes.

In a Liaison Information Report obtained by ABC News, the FBI said that the homes of professional athletes are being targeted for burglary “due to the perception they may have high-end goods like designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and cash.”

According to the outlet, the report — which alleges that organized theft groups from South America have burglarized the homes of at least nine professional athletes between September and November 2024 — states that the groups have completed the home invasions by conducting physical and technical surveillance using public available information and social media activity.

The FBI urges professional athletes to stay alert for suspicious behavior and adopt preventive strategies, reported ABC News. This includes keeping a record of valuable items and exercising caution on social media, such as avoiding real-time posts during vacations or sharing images that reveal private spaces in their homes.
