Colin Farrell stunned onlookers with a newly shaved head while stepping out in Los Angeles.
The âPenguinâ actor was pictured on a lunch outing on Wednesday, rocking a completely smooth head. He showed off his fit physique in an olive green T-shirt and casual black pants, and accessorized with a pair of sunglasses.
In another snapshot, the âBatmanâ actor, 50, covered the new look with a blue ball cap and finished it off with brown loafers.
Farrell appeared relaxed, carrying a cell phone as he navigated parking meters in the city.
Itâs unclear why the âMinority Reportâ actor was sporting the tough new look â but in June, the actor shared he was beginning to film âThe Batman Part II,â in which heâll reprise his role as Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin.
âIâm so excited to see it as a fan,â Farrell told Collider at the time, adding that the script for the sequel is âextraordinary.â
âMatt is just so brilliant, and he just cares so deeply about the stories he tells,â he said, referencing the filmâs director and co-writer, Matt Reeves.
The âIn Brugesâ actor famously made an astonishing transformation into the character for 2022âs âThe Batman,â complete with scarred facial prosthetics and a partially bald pate, and again for the HBO spinoff series âThe Penguin.â
Although he was highly celebrated for his turn as Oz Cobb in the 2024 spinoff series â even winning a 2025 Golden Globe â itâs unclear if the series will return for a second season.
The âBanshees of Inisherinâ starâs look isnât entirely new â in 2021, ahead of âThe Batmanâsâ debut, Farrell was previously spotted stepping out in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles with a completely shaved head.
At the 2024 red carpet premiere for âThe Penguin,â the star opened up about seeing himself in the mirror after transforming into the ruthless crime boss.
âDo you ever see cats looking at themselves in the mirror? How they recoil and they just donât know [itâs them]?â he told reporters at the event. âIt was strange.â
Farrell clarified that he didnât ever âfullyâ lose âsense ofâ himself, but noted that it âwas a very powerful thing to know yourself a certain way for 45 years and to see a reflection.â Â
âAnd it also kind of made me aware of how much I identified with how I look,â he continued. Farrell reflected on realizing that ânone ofâ him was there and how it created a âblank slateâ to fully become the character.
âIt was amazing,â he divulged. âIt was really, really powerful. It was something very powerful and very kind of hypnotic to the experience.â
