Two of the most prominent figures at the event were Pierre Casiraghi, son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, and his wife, Beatrice Borromeo. The Italian aristocrat maintains a close connection with Dior, for which she is an ambassador, but her relationship with Mathilde was also deeply personal. Upon learning of her death, she dedicated some heartfelt words to her, recalling her smile, her stories, her wisdom, and “that childlike spirit in the most elegant and poised woman.”

Also present was another princess, Olympia of Greece, one of the most sought-after faces at every Fashion Week.

The presence of Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni, one of the deceased’s lifelong friends, was highly anticipated . The two had known each other since childhood, during their summers in Cap Nègre, in the south of France, and their relationship was so close that Mathilde was a witness at the wedding of the singer and the former French president in 2008. Carla, who exuded elegance dressed head to toe in black, was also one of the first to publicly express her shock upon learning of the tragic event.

Princesses Camilla and Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, as well as Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni, also joined them, wanting to show their support for the family. Claudia Schiffer, one of the greatest supermodels of all time, who shared decades in the industry with Mathilde, was also present.
