Chris Noth shaded former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker yet again amid their ongoing rift.
The former Mr. Big told the Daily Mail on Wednesday that he âwas very luckyâ his iconic character was killed off at the beginning of the âSex and the Cityâ sequel series, âAnd Just Like That,â in December 2021.
While attending the Blue Jacket Fashion Show in New York City, the actor also said with a chuckle that he felt âvery goodâ about not being featured more prominently in the series, which was widely criticized by fans before coming to an end last year.
One week after Noth, 71, was written out of the series, he faced allegations of sexual assault, which he has vehemently denied.
Parker and co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis shared a joint statement at the time, saying, âWe are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.â
When the outlet asked Noth if he had anything to say about the falling out, he said ânoâ and added that âitâs over.â
The actor was also seen spending time with Mario Cantone, who played Anthony Marentino in both series. Cantone told the outlet that thereâs âno tensionâ with Noth, and that it was âgreat to see himâ at the fashion show.
The actor said of the feud in part, âAll I know is, I know my experience. I loved seeing him.â
Noth told the outlet that he keeps in touch with John Corbett, who played Aidan Shaw, and that he wished Kim Cattrall â whoâs had her own rift with Parker â a happy birthday âa few months ago.â
A rep for Parker did not immediately return Page Sixâs request for comment.
Noth previously lashed out at the âHocus Pocusâ star, 60, in a social media diss last month â he shared a workout pic at the time, captioning it, âF&@k new years â LETS GO!!!!â
In the comments thread, a fan asked, âYou mean fâk SJP & her award right? lol,â to which Noth responded, âRight.â
He walked back the comment in an Instagram post in mid January. âMy off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot,â he wrote alongside a portrait of himself. âIt is not news.â
Noth subsequently claimed during a January appearance on the âReally Famous with Kara Mayer Robinsonâ podcast that Parker didnât reach out to him before sharing the public statement supporting his accusers.
âThe statement that they put out â which was nothing more than brand management, really â I donât know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising,â Noth said, adding, âyou need to call me and hear my side of this. Youâve known me for many years, and weâve worked [together] for many years.â
He continued, âAnd I get it, thatâs more Hollywood than Hollywood. But before you make that statement, you know me, youâve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this. And that didnât happen, and that was too bad.â
Noth also said if âit had been on the other hand, I wouldnât have done that.â
âThat was hurtful, and it really affected everything,â he explained.
