Chloë Grace Moretz is addressing her sexuality.
The Kick-Ass actress publicly shared that she’s a member of the LGBTQ+ community after casting her vote for Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.
“There is so much on the line this election,” the 27-year-old wrote on Instagram Nov. 1 alongside a photo of her early voting sticker. “I believe the government has no right over my body as a woman, and that the decisions over my body should come ONLY from myself and my doctor.”
Moretz added that she believes Harris, the Democratic candidate running against Republican nominee Donald Trump, “will protect that for us.”
“I believe in the need for legal protections that protects the LGBTQ+ community as a gay woman,” Moretz, who’s been linked to model Kate Harrison in recent years, continued. “We need protections in this country and to have access to the care we need and deserve.”
While this is the first time has spoken out about her sexuality, she previously addressed criticism over her casting in 2018’s The Miseducation of Cameron Post, in which her character is forced to attend gay conversion therapy.
