Former Girls Aloud member, Cheryl, made a low-key return to public life, stepping out at her bandmate, Nicola Roberts’ baby shower.
The Newcastle-born singer, 42, was photographed from behind, holding a tiny babygrow while sitting at a beautifully dressed table at the Dorchester in Mayfair.
Despite facing away from the camera, Cheryl’s immaculately blow-dried chestnut locks couldn’t be mistaken.
Captioning the ‘photo dump’ from her special day, Nicola penned: “I had my baby shower! Still feels surreal. Love my friends and family dearly for coming together for such a gorgeous Easter Saturday. I really don’t have long left.
“Savouring this last little bit as much as I can. In full nesting swing and my bag is almost packed. Thank you lovely Sarah @love_entertainment_ for hosting my beautiful day.”
Other photographs saw Nicola pose with her nearest and dearest, including fellow bandmate Kimberley Walsh.
Fans were quick to notice the mini reunion and took to the comments to share their thoughts. “Love the fact Cheryl and Kimberly were there [pink and red love heart emojis],” to which Nicola replied: “Always.”
Others couldn’t get over just how beautiful Nicola, who wore an elegant navy blue off-the-shoulder dress, looked on her special day. “Looks beautiful! You truly are glowing!! Pregnancy looks amazing on you, such lovely photos with everyone too! I’m so excited for you,” another penned.
Cheryl’s low-key return
Since her late ex Liam Payne’s funeral, Cheryl has only been pictured out and about a handful of times.
Prior to Nicola’s baby celebrations, Cheryl – who shares son Bear with the late One Direction star – stepped out for the mother-to-be’s 40th birthday dinner in October 2025, which was held at the Lanesborough hotel.
Days before that, supporting Nicola at the press night for Hadestown, the West End show she was starring in, Cheryl made her first public appearance in 11 months following Liam’s send-off.

“Cheryl arrived wearing a kind of sartorial armour. After a recent personal loss, this outfit isn’t just a dress or a style choice. Instead, it’s a statement of return, strength and dignity,” Oriona said.
