Chelsea, lately, has been making a statement.
Chelsea Handler took to Instagram to share a video of herself sitting in bed, topless, giving herself a mammogram, stating, âas a woman with natural breasts, not that that has anything to do with this, it is time to explore vasectomies.â
The comedian added in the Friday footage, âSince the beginning of time, women have been ducking and diving and dodging pregnancy face-first or Pikachu-first. Frankly, theyâre exhausted.â
For Handler and many other women, theyâve become tired of hearing men complain that âusing a condom doesnât feel so goodâ or asking their partners to âtake birth control.â
âEnough, you horny little pigs in blankets,â the author said into the camera, before inquiring: âDo you know how painful it is to get an IUD placed? It feels like a mouse trap in your uterus, and sometimes those things donât even catch all the mice.â
An Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a form of birth control that is inserted into a womanâs uterus, per the Cleveland Clinic.
An IUD can prevent pregnancy for up to 10 years and can be removed by a doctor if a woman decides to become pregnant.
Handler also touched on different forms of female birth control, including the pill.
âYou think I want to be an adult woman with acne or have mood swings, or get a period thatâs so heavy it feels like the Hoover Dam just broke? I donât,â the talk show host continued. âEverybody already hates women enough. I donât need my insides to join in on the fun.â
According to Handler, itâs time for men to take action, including undergoing vasectomies.
A vasectomy âis a type of birth control that prevents the penis from releasing sperm in fluid called semen during sex,â per the Mayo Clinic
The operation includes having a surgeon cut and seal the tubes that carry sperm.
âWomen are tired of making concessions for men, especially in the bedroom. We have already been through enough letting you wear socks while you penetrate us,â she exclaimed. âSo man up, men, and if you canât do that, enjoy the company of your hands. Vasectomies, one snip and thatâs it.â
Handlerâs followers quickly chimed in beneath the video, with Ashley Benson writing, âThis is everything.â
Another social media user shared, âI love you!! Never stop!!!,â while a third fan added, âTHIS IS THE WAY.â
One male follower weighed in with his own experience, telling Handler, âI got one 10 years ago and it was one of the best decisions of my life. I was uncomfortable for a couple of days, but thatâs about it.â
The informative Instagram reel comes on the heels of Handler developing a comedy for Hulu, âTownhouse,â about a âwashed-upâ reality star with a failed relationship with her daughter.
According to Variety, the Critics Choice Awards host will executive produce the show and possibly star in it.
The studio, 20th Television, described the upcoming project as being about, âa washed-up reality star and her live-in entourage of misfits as they scramble to rehab her image and reboot her career.â
Page Six heard whispers that the show was written by Zoe Young, a former intern of âReal Housewives of New York Cityâ star Sonja Morgan.
The USC graduate worked for the TV personality in her final season on the Bravo show, which aired in 2021.
But according to sources, that isnât exactly the case.
âSonjaâs hardly washed up,â an insider fired back, âand she certainly isnât estranged from her daughter. She and Quincy have a great relationship.â
